the new meaning of love

16 Feb

L is not for the way that you look at me

Although it is nice

I prefer to match L to

Our lovely nights.

O is not for the only one I see

Although it is you

I prefer to say that O stands for

The opaque in my life you have lifted away

V is very Extra ordinary

However in my book

I prefer to think of it as the

Valleys that still stand in our way

E is even more than anyone that you adore

But I rather find

That E is for all the Evenings of which you

Have been by my side.

The perfect place

9 Feb

I was wondering the other day

If I could find some place

To write our names

A place where US wont be taken away

So I wrote it in suds

On the shower door

But slowly they run down

And that’s not US at all

So I then took my lipstick

A Deep Deep red

And wrote the words on the mirror

But sadly lipstick  can be easily washed  away

Then we went to the beach

And I wrote US on the sand

But the water once again came

So I wrote it in my heart

And forever it will stay.

a semi-perfect us

2 Feb

I remember that day that you asked me out

We had been friends for quite a while

It was a long night like always

When we talked till dawn

And you asked me to see

A movie with thee

You played it so cool

Even when I had said no

And asked me again the next day

Until I had finally said “well ok”

You knew I was taken

Having fun with my guy

I knew you weren’t single

But still we went out that night.

We laughed and we ate

Having a blast

We saw the one movie

That scared me outta my socks

Then we went home that night

Feelings were tight

And wondering  why

We felt so alive

The next week again

You asked me out to play

We went to the beach

And saw all those things

We had packed some s’mores

Making memories as we drove

Out to the beach

That perfect date scene

And I looked at you

Asked you how you felt

And you held my hand

And said that only I could tell.

I remember blushing just then

My heart swept away

It was surprising to see

Your feelings for little old me.

I remember thinking

“could this be the guy”

And I said hey why not….

Lets give him a try.

From an outsiders perspective

I guess you could say

That we had it all

To begin paving the way.

And thing really were great

But lately, I have been meaning to say

That we’re being kind of weird

With all of the fighting and tears

I kind of want to shut off my phone

Turn off the computer

Close the door

And have you leave me alone.

I don’t get why we’re fighting

Don’t know why your mad

I think it’s a big waste of time

Wish you would see that.

I want it all to be fine

Just as it was

But suddenly it seems

So far back in the past.

Venti means 20

29 Dec

269 words

Is all that is takes to form

A perfect poem prose

A perfect verse indeed

Is all that you need

To take the mind of things

Things that are swimming around

A pond that is empty

No fish in the sea, like words seemingly venti.

Venti thinks big

But her aunt, Count Louise

Does not think it polite for young girls to think.

Thinking, she’s been told

Has evoked

A plague just centries before

Before there Were words

Poor Venti, the dear hoped.

Yet to think in itself is as innate as breathing takes place.

So Do not let your dear count Louise

Take advantage of thee

The thoughts are itself, sure to please.
